Quick answers

Do I need an account? No. There is nothing to sign up for.

How do I keep my devices in sync? Sign every device in to iCloud with the same Apple ID. The sync dot at the top of the app is green when everything is up to date. Syncing works only between devices on the same Apple ID, and it can take a minute or two.

What does the Update button do? It records today's date in that item's history and moves the next due date out by the repeat interval. If you tapped it by mistake, open the item's history (the clock icon) and remove the entry.

I don't have a storage tank or a UV lamp. Can I turn those off? Yes. Edit the item and switch off that task. It disappears from the card, Next Up, reminders and the report.

When do reminders arrive? A week before, a day before, and on the day, at 9 AM. Make sure notifications are allowed for the app in your device's Settings.

How do I rename a home? Tap the home's name at the top of the Dashboard, or the pencil beside it in Switch Home.

How do I get a printable report? Open Home Report on the Dashboard, then print, save or share the PDF.

Scan Nameplate isn't reading my label. Get the whole label in the picture, close enough to read, in good light, without glare, and always check the result against the label. Scanning is available on iPhone and iPad, not on a Mac.

About the suggested intervals. The repeat intervals the app starts with are general guidance only. Follow your equipment's manual and any local requirements, and change the intervals to match.

Does Family Sharing share my homes and data? No. Family Sharing only means family members can download the app on their own devices without buying it again. Each person keeps their own homes, equipment and history, stored in their own iCloud. Homes are not shared between people. Sharing a home with a family member is something I'd like to add.

I bought the app with one Apple ID but I'm signed in to iCloud with another. Which one decides what I see? The two work separately. The Apple ID used on the App Store decides who bought the app. The iCloud account the device is signed in to decides which homes and data you see. If you buy the app with one Apple ID on a device signed in to a different iCloud account, you will see the data stored in that iCloud account.

Can two people share the same home? Not yet. Sync works between your own devices (iPhone, iPad and Mac) when each is signed in to the same Apple ID.

The app is in English only for now.

Important notes

Reminders. Reminders are a convenience and are not guaranteed. They appear only if notifications are allowed for the app in Settings, and each device sets up its own. Please don't rely on them alone for anything where safety matters, such as fire extinguishers, generators or elevators.

Not professional advice. The suggested intervals are general guidance only. The app doesn't replace professional inspections or service, your equipment's manual, or any local requirements.

Your information. Your homes, equipment and history are stored on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your own private iCloud storage. They can be lost if a device is lost or erased, or if iCloud has a problem. The developer can't see or recover your data. To keep a copy, make a Home Report from the Dashboard and save it as a PDF now and then. It's a readable record of your equipment, schedules, history and costs. It can't be loaded back into the app.

No warranty. The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, the developer isn't liable for missed reminders, lost or inaccurate information, or any loss or damage arising from the use of the app. Your rights under Apple's standard license agreement and local law are not affected.

Privacy

The app collects no data. Read the privacy policy.
